Digital Intelligence / OSINT
Open-source intelligence. Lawfully sourced.
Digital Intelligence and open-source intelligence, or OSINT, turn publicly available and lawfully accessible information into organized investigative findings. Stealthwatch uses source review, identity resolution, public records, social-media research, timeline reconstruction, entity and relationship mapping, and cross-source verification to answer a defined question.

How a Stealthwatch digital assignment runs before scope is set to your question.
Appropriate when the client has a lawful, permissible purpose and needs more than a quick online search.
Developing identities, timelines, entities, relationships, or publicly documented activity.
Evaluating claim-related fraud signals or inconsistencies before committing field hours.
Lawful due diligence, loss inquiries, brand-risk review, or authorized internal investigations.
Anyone who needs source-cited digital research rather than an unsourced summary.
Scope determines depth. Every version separates what was verified from what was not.
Scope tied to your question and permissible purpose, with likely limitations stated up front.
Identifier-by-identifier matching with a stated confidence level, not a guess dressed as a fact.
URLs, record references, and capture details so any finding can be traced back and re-checked.
Verified facts, possible matches, unresolved conflicts, and unavailable information kept separate.
Four steps built around corroboration rather than a single database hit.
We confirm the investigative question, permissible purpose, known identifiers, exclusions, jurisdiction, and intended use.
We select the public, open-source, licensed, or client-authorized sources appropriate to the question.
Researchers compare identifiers and dates across sources, preserve relevant records, and flag uncertainty rather than forcing a match.
The case lead checks sourcing, attribution, limitations, and the line between verified information and investigative leads.
Sourced. Corroborated. Caveated.
Stealthwatch is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act and does not provide consumer reports for employment, tenant screening, credit, insurance eligibility, or other FCRA-regulated decisions. Database research is conducted only for permissible purposes under the GLBA and DPPA.
Verifiable through the State of Georgia.
Most open-source and public-records research can be conducted remotely — regardless of where the subject or records are located — when a lawful, permissible purpose exists. International public-source research may be available on a limited basis depending on language, access, privacy law, records availability, and partner capability. Georgia field verification and select out-of-state verification can be added where lawful.
A defined desktop-research assignment typically targets completion within a timeframe confirmed at intake, once sufficient identifiers and authorization are received. Complex identity resolution, litigation research, international work, records delays, or field verification may require additional time.
What clients ask before commissioning digital research.
What is OSINT?
OSINT is the collection and analysis of publicly available or otherwise lawfully accessible information. The value comes from verifying identities, comparing sources, preserving context, and explaining confidence and limitations.
Can you access private accounts or deleted content?
Stealthwatch does not hack accounts or bypass access controls. Public archives, cached material, client-authorized sources, and lawfully available records may be reviewed when relevant, but availability is never guaranteed.
Is this the same as an employment or tenant background check?
No. Stealthwatch is not a consumer reporting agency and does not provide FCRA consumer reports for employment, housing, credit, insurance eligibility, or other regulated eligibility decisions.
How do you avoid mixing up people with similar names?
Researchers compare multiple identifiers such as age, location history, associates, employers, entities, dates, and source context. Reports state the confidence level and disclose unresolved conflicts.
Can digital findings be used in litigation?
Findings can be organized with source and capture details for counsel’s review. Authentication, discovery obligations, admissibility, and legal use are determined by counsel and the court.
Digital research usually runs first — it makes everything downstream cheaper and sharper.
