Permissible desktop locate research can often be conducted regardless of the subject’s state, subject to records access and applicable privacy law. Georgia field verification is available through Stealthwatch, with select out-of-state verification coordinated through vetted partners where lawful. Records access, privacy law, source availability, licensing, and partner coverage vary by jurisdiction.
Routine, well-identified locate assignments typically target completion within a timeframe confirmed at intake. Common names, limited identifiers, identity conflicts, deceased subjects, international elements, records delays, field verification, or evasive subjects may require additional time.
What clients ask before sending a locate request.
What information do you need to begin?
A full name plus additional identifiers such as date of birth, prior address, phone, email, employer, relative, case number, or known location history improves accuracy. Stealthwatch will explain whether the available identifiers are sufficient.
Can you guarantee that a person will be located?
No. People may use aliases, move frequently, leave limited records, live internationally, be deceased, or intentionally conceal their location. The report states the confidence and limitations of the available evidence.
What is the difference between an address hit and a verified locate?
An address hit is a record or lead that may be current or outdated. A verified locate uses corroborating sources and, when authorized, field observations or other confirmation to increase confidence that the person is associated with the location.
Will you contact the person you locate?
Only when contact is specifically authorized, lawful, safe, and included in the scope. Many locate assignments are research-only and do not notify the subject.
Can locate information be used for any purpose?
No. Requests are screened for a legitimate and permissible purpose. Stealthwatch will not provide information for harassment, stalking, unlawful collection, prohibited eligibility decisions, or another improper use.
